REGISTRATION FAQ

When does registration open?
- Spring registration normally opens in December and closes in February.

What does the registration fee cover?
The registration fee helps cover the cost of the fields, equipment, uniforms, umpires and other expenses that comes with running the league. The registration fees only cover part of the league's operating costs and are supplemented by sponsorships.

What age players can participate?
Please refer to our League Age Chart to determine if your child is eligible to play.  We follow the Little League age charts. Each fall, we move to the next year's age chart so your child's age may be different than your child's league age.

How do I register my child to play with MELL?
To register, click on the registration button available on our homepage during open registration. This will walk you through the registration process. You will only see this button when registration is open.

I don't live in Columbia County. Can my child still play for MELL?
Our official Little League boundary is all of Columbia County. If you physically reside in Columbia County OR your child attends school in Columbia County, you are fully eligible to play for MELL. If you reside outside of Columbia County, we do encourage you to play for the Little League charter that you are assigned to.  In the case that you have a reason why it would be more convenient for you to play for MELL and/or don't have a charter that covers your area, we can help you with the information that you need to complete a waiver to be able to play for MELL.  Out of Bounds players are not guaranteed to be approved to play All-Stars.

What is MELL's refund policy?
Please view our refund policy HERE.

What is the cost to participate?
To determine the cost, you will need to view the registration page, which is available during open registration.  Registration fees are assessed by league age, not division.  The costs are subject to change each season due to the rising cost of insurance, uniforms, field Maintenace, and our continued investment in our facilities.
